IMO it makes the most sense for Ottawa to move on from Brannstrom to make room for Pinto, as he is the easiest to move and the easiest to replace (Kleven takes his spot)

Looks like Pinto wants 2.5m min and only 1 spare for to cover nagging injuries is very optimistic

didnt they just re-sign brannstrom? doesn't make sense to move him 2 months later.

    2.5 on a 2 year deal. 2 mill on a 1 year makes sense

First of all, Sokolov is a winger and Kastelic is a center so you would be replacing Kastelic with Kelly.

Second, your friends are wrong. Kastelic is a bonafide fourth liner who does everything you need him to do. Kelly is the one who is useless.

I never read a Sens fan say that and I also use another forum with hundreds of Sens fans. Kastelic was Top-12 in FO% in his rookie season, he's a center. He also quite intimidating and a fitness freak, already good defensively

He's not in competition with Sokolov, he's in competition with whoever could play 4th line center which is basically no one else

He was RFA so it's not unusual to move a guy on his RFA years, fix the cap situation and it's better for his career too as he's stuck behind Sanderson and Chabot in Ottawa
