This isn’t even close. Guhle is not a need for Anaheim. They already have an abundance of elite Ld prospects (Zelleweger, Luneau, Myntukov)

While this trade is not close, the OP is making a point.
KG will see a much healthier offer than Zegras' offer once his ELC is expiring. Anaheim is not being fair to Zegras whatsoever
Personally I think the Habs should hold on to Guhle, otherwise we will be looking at him like McDonough or Sergachev in a few short years.

The leaked "offer" was more likely gamesmanship by Pat Brisson to put pressure on Verbeek to give his client a bigger payday (and by extension, him a bigger payday) lo and behold, the hockey media and fans are going absolutely nuts over this "offer" and speculating wildly about trades and what's going on behind the orange curtain.
