He's not going to be traded and that offer would probably be beat

Highly unlikely that gets beat. That's an overpay

I guess it depends on where you think those 1sts will fall but I don't think thats an overpay for a a guy developing into a franchise center. I imagine a team like Nashville would pay at least as much

A team is going to have to overpay for Zegras.

East coat effect lol. Watch him play lol he will probably have quite a few 90+ point seasons in his career once he has teammates

I don't see any other teams who will give a value of three 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick for TZ.

I think Nashville would. The cost to acquire Zegras should be on par with an offer sheet that they wouldn't match. In this scenario with the contract you are offering that's the equivalent of 4 1sts

The problem is Nashville didn't have actually a great prospect pool & young core who can reach the top 10 in this league, and that's why they need to keep all their fist round picks and not trade them for a player like Zegras.

What they need is to make a retool during 2-3 seasons and adding more '' raw talent '', and after, they can considerate to trade somes of their picks. A team like Montreal or Buffalo already have somes '' raw talented '' players in their line-up, means they have the leeway to make somes trades like this.

A "flashy" player is someone with excellent puck control. He's also got great hockey IQ. Even if he's moved to the wing in Anaheim I think he will be on par with Marner in his prime

That trade is insanity!!!!

If Zegras is so good than why are Anaheim hesitating to give him a Caufield type contract. Overrated player. Yes very talented and a showboat, but not a guy that will take you to a Stanley Cup.

Don't have a great prospect pool? Montreal's is barely better than Nashville's. Nashville has a decent NHL roster already but lack a legitimate 1C. Add Zegras to their roster and they are probably the 3rd best team in that division

We can said the same thing about Caufield and Jack Hughes, and just look what he is now.

Wait, did you just wrote that you put Dallas, Colorado or Minnesota after Nashville ? Umm ok.......

Nashville have too much '' One season wonder '' players in their line-up (Novak, Parssinen, etc) and execpt Josi, Forsberg, Saros and O'Reilly, the rest aren't very considerate as somes deccent talents who can bring them now to a playoffs spot.

3rd best. That would be Dallas and Colorado ahead of them obviously. Not Minnesota, they are a 1 player with a bunch of supporting characters.

Nashville has a top 5 defenseman in the league, a top 5 goalie in the league, a strong overall defense core, some solid young players coming up like Evangelista and Tomasino. And decent forward depth and a quality defense core. Add in Zegras and they have a legitimate 1C too.

Regardless the fact remains that Nashville's window if they want to go for it under Josi's and Saros' era is sooner rather than later. Having a 1C entering their prime now rather than waiting 4 years for one to be drafted and then develop is way better
