Ah I missed the ridiculously bad offers from Leafs fans for Wilson

Been almost a month since I've seen one, so thanks for bringing it back!

The Capitals are more than likely NOT trading Tom Wilson before his new extension kicks in.

Personally a third seems a bit steep of a price to pay for Jones and considering our pick pool, TB probably waits and trades for or claims someone else on waivers instead

More than likely is quite the understatement, guy is gonna be our captain when Ovi retires.

Also Fehervary is a no-go too, Leafs shoulda just held on to Sandin lmao

Leafs probably had the opportunity to resign Schenn and Accarli, but didn't want to sign them for three years. (maybe no team but Pens and Preds offered). Accarili was OK but not productive in his time as Leafs. Wilson's new contract doesn't look long term appealing.

Considering you guys think Wilson is worth more than Nylander, any trade anyone posts will be deemed ridiculously bad.

Lucky for us, he just has a bad contract for Washington.

Pens decline Jarne again. Or still. Take your pick.

regardless of the argument whether he's more valuable than Nylander or not, this is a laughably bad offer that anyone would decline. Fehervary alone wouldn't be traded for that package. He's a just as capable of a defenseman as Brodie for half the cost (and not on an expiring deal), Kokkonen is a whatever prospect, Robertson would have no spot in Washington, and the 3rds aren't nearly enough to make it worthwhile for Washington, and that's without even mentioning the fact Wilson is added in. Even if you disagree with the Wilson discourse you can't disagree this is an awful deal for the Capitals.

So you're saying this isn't a bad deal for Washington?
