I'm going to be honest; I don't know exactly how the whole Hossa contract/cap situation will work out. I thought I heard of LTIR goes into affect on the first day of the season.

Bouma and Wingels got less than that, that's for sure. My guess is 650-750 each. As far as LTIR, the Hawks will be placing Hossa on LTIR the second day of the season. Therefore, they'll need to be 100% cap-compliant when the season starts, and then have 5.275 million in cap space the whole season. So...Hossa should be on the roster, and they should be under the cap. They could start the first day with the minimum of 20 players (store 3 in Rockford - of which can be sent there), put Hossa on LTIR, and than call 3 up the second day. Or, just store enough in Rockford to be under the cap.
