    Would love for the Canes to pursue CA, but why would they do that? As is, 3 of TDA, Chatfield, Jones, and Coghlan are going to be sitting in the press box each game, barring injuries/sickness, so why would the Canes add a 4th name to that list? Value is at least decent, but the wrong team is being targeted as a trade destination.

    And again, I ask, why pay a big price like this for a press box seat warmer? That’s terrible asset management. Even if Coghlan gets traded/claimed off waivers, CA would still have to beat out Jones, Chatfield, and TDA, just to get playing time, and I don’t think he would be able to do that. His usefulness on the ice doesn’t really matter if he doesn’t get playing time.
