my guess is nashville is gonna go after him emelin bonino hartnell 5 rfa left to sign that is a lot of forwards. polle has been busy i think it a prelude to much bigger trade.

He will be traded, but not necessarily right now. Colorado might wait for him to get higher value.
they won't get what they want though. i don't think they will get higher value than they have got offered so far.
What I mean is: wait for the season to start and then when teams begin to realize there weak on offence they become all the more willing to may more for Duchene then they do now.

The fact they had a deal on the table with the Islanders and Sakic said no--when the team has to start doing something and not just be stagnate--to a package of Hamonic a first and a prospect (Not Barzal maybe Ho-Sang). He needs to do something and that seemed like a good start. Let's be real though Sakic is overvaluing his pieces and other teams are trying to a razor to the price after a terrible season and worlds. But I think the question needs to be posed: what are the Colorado Avalanche? Are they rebuilding...no they're keeping everyone and sold Iginla and their forth liner for a 4th (which I don't think they got because Igina probably wont sign with LA) and and Andrighetto (who might turn into something descent). There actions suggest that they are trying to go for it when Nashville basically just dumped Colin Wilson on them. I think Wilson is a great player. If Sakic is fired that is when the the Avalanche will start changing.
Sakic has done a terrible job with assist management letting Grigorenko go with out even qualifying him to try to flip his rights for anything. Look just north to their buddies in the windy city, they trade rights away like no ones business (Shaw, Darling, Saad, Raanta,) to get assists back. You can not tell me that someone wouldn't take a flyer on a young player--gms love their magic beans and what players can become--for any sort of long shot prospect or draft pick. If we look back on Sakic's trade history it is not great. He is probably going to get the raw end of any Duchene deal.
