Again, no one was saying that 2 years ago with Dobson.
You seem to forget that they have exactly 2 year apart and have almost identical offensive stats when they were playing at 20 years old.

Let’s see Guhle drop a 50 pt season this year with good offensive metrics

Dobson: born January 2000.
Guhle: born January 2002.

Dobson @ 20 years old: 46GP 3G 11A 14P.
Guhle @ 20 years old: 44GP 4G 14A 18P.

A real GM would take into consideration... age.

Is Dobson better TODAY? Yes.
Was Dobson better than Guhle 2 years ago? No.

Do Habs want to win TODAY? No.
In 2 years? Yes.

Dobson is a better skater than Guhle . Hits don’t matter.

Guhle is better at 5v5 defense. Dobson is a better passer, shooter, transition player , penalty killer, PP etc…

Better skater than Guhle?

Alright, with all due respect, I understand now. You don't really know Guhle.
He is a FANTASTIC skater, almost unreal.
And hits don't matter? Ahhhh ok.

And everything you keep saying about Dobson... without mentioning the 2 full seasons difference..................

Cheers mate!

Montreal loves to hype up young D players who can skate and hit…Romanov can skate and hit and he sucks

Matheson and reinbacher are the only two D that fit the “two way D” mold .

Guhle was on nearly a half ppg pace last year, Mailloux is known for his offense and bone crushing hits but management are working with him to develop the defensive side as well to convert him to more of a 2 way player. Your right, I threw in Kovacevic, Xhekaj and Harris who are mostly defensive dmen but they are also big and mobile. I guess I should have said mostly big, mobile 2 way D men lol. I also forgot to include Engstrom in the grouping too. My point is the Habs are looking for specific types of D men who excel I'm multiple facets of the game not just 1 dimensional (Hutson was the outlier not the norm for management)

I agree with you.
Tht's why we shipped it to you guys.

Anyway, I think we both agree. Dobson is a helluva player.
Let's see what Guhle will look like in 2 years.

Cheers buddy, and have a good season!

MTL DECLINES?? WHAT lmao

guhle is a corner stone in Montreal rebuild they love him and what he bring to the game, and Bogdan Konyushkov is a no. 1 defenseman at age 20 in the KHL

Dobson is a great young offensive D man but that isn't what Montreal is doing with their defense. Take a look at what their D men look like Guhle, Reinbacher, Mailloux, Barron, Xhekaj, Matheson, Kovacevic all big, mobile, 2 way D men hell even Harris and Konyushkov are just under 6' but their play styles and hockey IQ make up for being slightly on the smaller side. Hutson is our only D prospect taken in the last 3 years who doesn't really fit that mold.

Dobson is literally a big, mobile, two way defenceman

Guhle is literally a B+ prospect habs fans are delusional. Hyping him up is typical fan base delusion its not even worth my time. Dobson is a prove elite defenseman at a premium position. Bogdan's sample size is way too small and a 3rd means nothing. Right side of Reinbacher-Dobson is insane. Much easier to fill the left side

Then why are you trading dobson for a "B+ prospect" (whatever that means this isnt chel buddy), a 3rd who "means nothing" and bogdan who has a "small sample size". I CAN WRITE IN CAP LOCKS TOO AND IT DOESNT CHANGE **** YOUR TRADE IS ASS

KaidenGuhle is closer to a Jake Sanderson than a Mickey Anderson or Mattias Samuelsson

Btw Romanov was a #5 dman with top 4 potential when he was playing in MTL. Guhle is MTL #2 defenseman being Mike Matheson. Romanov doesn’t even have half the skating of Guhle and hockey IQ.

All i ever hear about Guhle is the word intangible and other traits that cannot be quantitatively measured lol. When he starts producing ill listen.

I have no doubt he will be a great 2LD behind Hutson tho

When I look at prospects, i look at what they need to improve on and what theyre good at. Its much harder to teach someone who is average at everything to be elite (Guhle) than it is to teach someone who is elite in some areas but needs maturing in others (Hutson)

MTL has a great future at LD, and I recommend hyping up the Reinbachers and Hutsons instead of Guhle's and Bogdans

Guhle can play though minutes and win puck battles. He got good speed, good passes & good IQ. He outboxed opponents in front of the net as well. Yes Lane Hutson is insane offensively, but you can’t ask him to play 25 minutes a night when he won’t be able to defend well in his own zone. Guhle won’t be a 50 points dman, but if he does everything right when he’s on the ice, then he could be a top pairing dman.

Guhle could be a better version of Adam Pelech, while we hope we have a Quinn Hughes in Lane Hutson. Reinbacher will probably be a Mattias Ehkolm but right handed, and we will see for Mailloux. Lots of things he gotta work on but he’s got the tools
