Are you a Sharks fan?

No way is Couture and Duclair getting that type of return - they aren't even worth Debrusk alone.

The same Couture that netted 70 points on a bad team last year. That is one of the best two-way centers in the game? What an incredibly stupid comment. Guessing you’re from Boston, lot of dunces live there.

Lmao a 70 point guy who was a -30 and probably has one good season left in him?

I don't think anyone would trade Debrusk for Couture straight up... let alone the other pieces the Bruins are giving up

Couture did not get 70 points last year. He's hit the 70pt mark once in his career and that was 5yrs ago. I don't see Couture as being the right buy for Boston. He's 35yrs old and under contract till he's 38yrs old. He's had multiple lower body injuries throughout his career and he's going to start to wear down. His FO% has also dropped for 3 straight years which is concerning. I think he'd be a fantastic add for a bubble team or team looking to go for it and has young talent to move.....that's not Boston though.

People need to stop valuing older players like they are worth what they were valued at 30 years old. Couture is probably worth more to the San Jose Sharks than any team just like Brad Marchand is to the Bruins, but their contracts are riskier

My belief is if he were on the open market, Couture’s contract would be about the same as Backlund’s (another good player who’s around the same age who just got a 2 year, $9m extension).

To me, I’d rather have the free cap space next year than Couture’s contract at his age. The only trades I would consider are ones that would be insulting to San Jose fans, so I won’t say them to be polite. I like Couture and believe he’d have some value to a team with enough retention
