Trade Block time

Created by: Rob32sjsharks
Team: 2023-24 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 20, 2023

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Sharks are bad, very… very… bad!
So time to move pieces that don’t fit long term and build up more draft capitol or prospects.
Odds are my assumption that sharks WANT to move the players, not the odds of them BEING moved.
LW
1/99 odds, players sharks likely won’t trade.
C
25/75 odds, players sharks likely don’t trade (unless a crazy offer comes through)
RW
50/50 Players that have a chance of being moved
LD
75/25 Odds, Players being shopped and are as good as gone
RD
99/1 odds, Players sharks would love to move but can’t due to contracts.

I excluded prospect not on the sharks active roster.

Man I have a hard time seeing many Sharks players being targeted by teams this year. MacDonald because of his cap and like maybe Barabanov are the only two guys I could see teams maybe pursuing. Maybe Kahkonen if a playoff team needs a G. Its gonna be a brutal year, lets be honest but they'll get a stud at the draft next year again. This could be the year for #1Ov for SJS to be honest.

It's going to be a LONG and painful season in SJ. Washed up Ali vs prime Larry Holmes painful. ☹️

I expect sharks to be the worst team in the league, it’s up to the front office to decide if they win the lotto or if the screw them and push them back to 2nd or 3rd, but with Cole Eiserman at 2nd and Likely Levshunov at 3 I still think the sharks fill a big need either way.

As far as players go guys like Duclair and Hoffman (if we retain 1/2) could spark a little interest. A few D are solid 3rd pair guys and have cheaper contracts. I honestly expect 5-7 players to be moved heading up to and at the TDL.

Nahhhh. This is easier than 19/20. Going from WCF to 3rd worse team in hockey was worse. At least now we know the sharks are rebuilding and losing with a purpose.

The Sharks only have 1 retention slot, which really hampers their ability to love guys like Labanc, Granlund, and Hoffman.

I think the only people with a reasonably high chance of getting moved are Duclair, Barabonov, and Blackwood.
