I would do that, but would Carter waive? Would you guys retain Carter and flip him to a team he’d play for?

Lindblom can’t even scratch SJS line up. Idk why Dubas would pay for him when he was waived.

I think they might be fine with Carter as there 13th forward for the season (brings some leadership) and then in playoffs no roster limit so no issue. This gets them their cap space for next year, which I think is the number one goal with trading Garland. I also really like Eller. Between him and Blueger we can make sure nothing ever happens when our bottom 6 are on the ice lol.

They can trade Beauvillier for RD instead of Garland which I think is the easier move to make.

Pitt doesn't want Lindblom. He's struggling in the AHL. And SJ keeps that retention slot for a player that could actually get them some value back.

Garland for Eller and Carter ($625,000 retained). The retention makes it completely cap-neutral and gives more cap space than the proposed trade above, which is good since the above roster is not cap-compliant.

High second/low first would be what they're looking for I'd imagine. Though he's had a tough start to the season. With that said they've only scored 1.4 goals per game and rolling 4-lines so no one is really producing other than Hertl,

Sharks aren't likely to use their last retention slot on a deal with such a weak return.

Also personally I'd keep Nieto over Lindblom. Lindblom is fine but super over paid and Nieto is a great PKer/ locker room guy who had as many points in 45 games with the Sharks last year as Lindblom did in 70+.
