That Hoglander trade is awful for the Canucks

Bear won’t get that much money, he’ll probably get a cheap 1 year deal

I get that you did this for comedic effect but both of these hurt the Canucks

I like Hoglander, but McCarron brings a different skill set to the table. He is a former 1st rounder (25th OA) who hasn't quite lived up to expectations. He has had some problems but hopefully he is past all that.
The first thing I like is his size and physicality (6'5" and 237#) and ability to get to the front of the net. Overall the Canucks are too small and can get pushed around.
The second is his ability to win faceoffs (50.6%) for his career. The Canucks need to win faceoffs so they aren't spending so much of the game trying to get puck possession.

I appreciate you like him and your thorough answer, but your way missevaluating trade value. You can probably get him for a 7th or nothing by waiting for him to get waived. He's a NHL/AHL tweener. Theres no reason to trade someone like Hogs whose worth some where around probably a 2nd round min and you could probably throw him in without changing the trade value. He's been waived every year for the last three years.
