I would think a mcdavid trade would look like- power, cozens, benson/savoie/kulich, and a first. Edmonton would be adding a very good young center in cozens, who is locked up for 7 years, a recent first overall pick on d, also locked up long term, a blue chip forward prospect in savoie/benson/kulich, and a first. The Sabres would add the best player in hockey, while still keeping Thompson as a second line center. Basically the Sabres window stays about the same, and Edmonton gets a bit younger. The Sabres d is still a work in progress, I would think the Sabres would need to flip some of their other prospects for two top 4 d (one to replace power, and another one, preferably a righty, to upgrade clifton).
