Not sure tbh. Just wondering what Hanifin & Coronato might bring back from BOS and whether either Team thinks it would be worthwhile at all

I bet both Hanifin & Coronato would prefer to be Bruins at the end of the day

Rather have Bean right now than Kylington or Oesterle as well

Why would we ever want to trade Coronato?

Would the logic break down as Dube for JDB, Hanifin for Gryz and Lohrei and then Coronato for Lysell and Poitras (and then just put Boqvist and Olson into any of those)? If so I don't like any of those for the Bruins and I don't really like the Poitras/Lysell/Coronato deal for Calgary either.

The Boston trade needs a little more quality and less quantity from Boston.

Debrusk is ok but he's a pending UFA and it's not like his AAV is a deal either.
I don't like Gryzelcyk at all and he's another pending UFA.
Lohrei and Poitras are decent.
Lysell is yet another small winger and one who's effort is questionable plus Coronato is better.
Boqvist and Olson are just more bodies Calgary doesn't need.

The Columbus trade is closer but probably too much quantity and not quite enough quality from Calgary.

Yeah something like that. I’m not high on Lysell at all, he may turn out to be a bust, but if we were to give up the much better Prospect in Coronato, we would want as many chances to replace him coming back as possible

Just an idea to get feedback and see what others think

That's fair. It's an interesting match of trade partners.

Boston is probably cautious to give up a center prospect even for a better wing prospect, especially since their best wing prospect, Lysell, is also not quite at the point where the franchise has lost faith in him. The Bruins are also high on Lohrei as it stands so anything involving him is probably proven center-related.

I don't know if you'll win many trades moving Coronato for anything other than an equivalent young player with as much hype as him or an older high-end player, but that second option probably doesn't fit the outlook in Calgary based on the view around some of the core players currently. I do wonder what Hanifin would fetch in terms of young prospects and picks though

No thank you.

Boston does not need Noah. Their top 4 D is set for years.

Poitras is more valuable to Boston than anyone coming back to them due to roster makeup.

Take out Poitras/Lohrei/Grizz and Noah. We can talk.

Boston is not giving up Poitras or Lohrei. And I know Flames fans are high on Coronato, but Poitras is way more valuable to the Bruins than Coronato would be because he is looking like a top 6 C.

Lol. I’ve had some questionable AGMs on here. And I know I’m a bruins fan but take out Poitras, Lorehi as they are too valuable. Debrusk is nearly a 30 goal scorer and Gryz is a top 4 D. not as good as Hanafin. But still a ready good D. Take out Dillion Dube. And I think it works better for both sides.

If the bruins want Hanafin they can sign him in off season and keep their top 3 prospects.

Calgary doesn’t have a player with a contract situation where Boston is going to trade Poitras for. Like Coronato and his shot, but I believe that Poitras has displayed more between the two. I’d rather have Coronato than Lysell, but I’m also of the opinion that he’s being discussed as if he’s shown more than he has.

The combination of salary and displayed talent makes Poitras someone they aren’t going to trade. I don’t see why Calgary would trade Coronato honestly for the same reasons. Be happy you have a good young player and try to build around them

Boston should not HAVE any interest in Hanifan. Would prefer the Bruins not engage in that trade and allocate their money to their forwards. I’m comfortable Lohrei will translate to a top 4 D man. I’d rather have the cap money that he’ll sign for next year than Hanifan. No interest in him unless I could flip him.

Dube is not really a massive upgrade to me. Usable, but not someone I’d pay a ton for and he likely gets paid a decent salary from here on out. He’s positive salary filler to me. Hes basically your equivalent of Grzelcyk. He can provide stability, but people will always wonder if he’s replacable.

Boston likely covets Lindholm for the right price. DeBrusk, Lysell, Merkulov, and a #1. If you can find a better package, go ahead and do it. To, that’s pretty close to the Horvat package and with retention, I think DeBrusk nets a first rounder for you if you choose not to sign him. .

Don't see Boston being that interested in this. Boston would be giving up their best center prospect while getting no real center back. Poitras looks like a kid who should at worst develop into a good #2C. Lohrei looked good in his first camp and has all the tools needed to be a Top 4 D-man. Hanifin they could just sign if he makes it to FA, and if he doesn't its not a big deal because Boston's top 4 is already solid. Coronato is a nice piece, but not really a need for Boston.
