Laughably bad for Vancouver

Anaheim also declines easily

Unsurprisingly this heavily favours Montreal

Honestly, as a Habs fan, I'd likely pass on this one... So it might now favour us that heavily...

That’s an amazing offer for Petey

This heavily favors Vancouver.

You can't be serious right? This is SO bad for Vancouver it's not even funny. Zegras isn't even considered in the NHL's top 100 fantasy forwards. Petey was 14th, and even then I think they heavily underrated Petey at 14th. He's on pace for another 100 point season, he's top a massive 200 ft game player, he kills penalties(he also scores a lot on them), he's improved amazingly in the dot over the last few seasons. And he is just coming into his prime years.

Essentially you have this as the first trade:
Zegras -> MTL
Dach + 2025 1st -> Ducks

And this as the second:
EP 40 -> MTL
Zegras + Guhle + a 2nd/3rd rounder. -> Canucks

Sorry but this just stupidly favors the Habs it's not even funny anymore.

The first trade is horrible for the Ducks, Zegras is going to be better in the long run than Dach. And a first that isn't even for the season it's in?
And don't get me started with that Petey trade... not even a first rounder? not even a Reinbacher, or Slafkovsky?

If Montreal was serious about acquiring Elias Pettersson the trade would not be considered unless it starts with one of Reinbacher or Slafkovsky, and at least the 2024 first rounder

It definitely does

•A middle 6 C/Winger who tore his ACL and MCL and is out for the season
•A 2nd/3rd pair LHD who really struggled last season
•A 1st that isn’t even in this years draft
•A 2nd and 3rd round pick

For a top 5-7C in the entire league who’s only 24, capable of 100+ points and Selke level defense

I strongly disagree with your assessment of Dach, and I am sure some GMs would still believe he has 1C potential. Torn ACL / MCL can be fixed for the better at that age with the current state of medical procedures. But let's say, just for fun, that I agree he seems to have the injury bug.

Your statement about Guhle just shows that you've followed 0 coverage of his game whatsoever. The guy is a 6'3" 201lb, highly-mobile, 21 year old D who plays like a multi-season vet. His floor is probably being one of the best second pair D in the league. His ceiling is a good first D, maybe not elite, but still very good.

Now I am always reading trades regarding Pettersson assuming that he's pulling a Tkachuk on the Canucks. Otherwise, why on the hell would they trade him. Then if he is, sorry, but the Canucks won't exactly be dealing from a position of strength. But hey, the Flames might be willing to trade Huberdeau and Weegar for Pettersson if you fancy that return better :P

The problem is Dach has yet to play over 70 games in a season, and since he won't this year, that is 6 seasons. It is safe to say he has a bit of an injury bug until proven otherwise at this point. He is a fine player, when healthy, but 1C is unlikely at this point. He kind of reminds me of Tim Connolly. Great when he was healthy; but he wasn't healthy enough.

As for Guhle he needs to get his D zone awareness up to his offensive instincts level. I have found him to drift out of position when getting cycled against. But he has a solid break out pass, and vision. I think on a playoff team he is 2D/3D, depending on the team. I don't see him anchoring a top D pair without exponential D zone improvement. He is a solid prospect/pro at this point, but not likely to be elite.

Just my observations
