If Calgary does decide to rebuild, Weegar would probably carry a Chychrun ask (1st / 2 - 2nd's). This of course can be debated...

Like many other teams considering rebuilds, they would want the draft picks to select and develop themselves.

In no way would moving a first even be considered by Calgary at this point.

Not to mention the defenseman who can actually defend and play a physical game.

Calgary would not attach a 1st and Weegar's contract ends when he's 37 years old. This trade works well for neither team.

And if they rebuild, they'd trade Weegar for futures, not for a 26 y/o D-man.
