I like Duclair as a Target, but RFA Dube is more valuable than Pending UFA Duclair and Vladar is more valuable than a 4th + 6th

Vladar is a goalie similar to what the sharks have and won’t change our outcomes much if any, Dube is a carbon copy of Barabanov and while I like him again won’t help much and will bolt the first chance he gets. Sorry if you want Duclair you can have him for a pick.

Which Pick!?? He can’t be worth much now given his lack of production and how do we fit him under the Cap!? I guess that’d be up to us, hey? I’m sure there’s some kind of 3-Way Trade and/or Team interested in Dube

What are the Sharks up too!? Who are they looking to sell and/or what are they looking to buy!?

Buy nothing! we’re a joke, sell sell sell and take cap dumps for returns! Sharks need to focus on. Ext year already.

Who are you willing to retain on with your last retention spot!? Or who do you think makes the most sense!?

That’s tricky, if we move Couture it’s him to return the most value, then Granlund or Hoffman but any shot at a 1 st round pick would be the key!

Couture would be difficult to trade. He's still good but he's 34 years old with 4 years at 8 mil per left on his contract. Even with 50% retained he'd still be an expensive contract for the acquiring team (likely a top contender already up against the cap) and 4 mil/year for 4 years is a lot for the Sharks to retain.

I'd also say Hertl is your most valuable trade asset not Couture. There are probably a few teams who'd take him without retention too. The biggest problem with trading him is I don't know if there's a team he'd waive for that can afford to take on his cap hit this year. He'd be a good replacement for the Flame's Lindholm but I doubt he'd waive for them with the way things are going in Calgary lately and they're a team that can't afford his cap hit until next year too.

Reasonable assessment!
I’ve done a few mocks 3 team trades with Hertl to Boston for Ullmark and grzelcyk then flip Ullmark to Edmonton for Campbell Bourgault and 2 1sts

That I think helps both Boston and Edmonton fill their biggest holes.

I could see Couture to Washington with a little retention and return a cap dump like Mantha and some picks
