Not that big of an issue with the Cap space available.. but Reichel, Raddysh and Vlasic are all underpaid.

Nazar is off to a hot start in the NCAA, he could earn a spot on the wing next training camp.

I am not in agreement with signing this many free agents. Why bother drafting players if there is no opportunities for them in the lineup? Certainly the Hawks are going to have to spend to get to the go floor but think they should to a better job balancing between being cap compliant & still being a rebuilding team w/a youth movement.

I skipped over the trade , Hawks aren’t sending those picks for Joseph. That’s ridiculous.

I agree with the premise here. They could be good if they were to buy a bunch of players, but I don't recommend they do that. Although, if they were to do that, they could probably build a better roster than this.

Hawks don't make that trade for Joseph. He's not a player the Hawks would pay for in any circumstance. Hawks will need to sign 2 or 3 UFA's to get to the cap floor, but no way they sign 6 as you suggest. They'll play their own young guys over UFA's.

Based off of Reichel and Raddysh’s starts to the season, those salary estimates may not be far off.

As for Nazar, I would really like to see him go back and get two full years at Michigan but if he does turn pro, I really hope they don’t rush him to the NHL.

Hawks are not in the business of spending picks to get players and Sens need more players like Joseph, not less.

No they don't. If we go into the 2024 season with Joseph on the roster it means we didn't move him this season. Cap space for him won't be an issue then.

Jarventie> Joseph

Uh no… not even close

I believe in Jarventie but he just turned 21 and is not close to make the impact Joseph currently does

We don’t need to move Joseph at all. Kubalik is the guy to move IF they need space, but we might not even need to do that this season… and next season, plenty of cap space to have Joseph, keep Tarasenko or even upgrade on him and move Brannstrom in a deal for a RHD or a forwrad

We cannot expect Joseph to score 66 pts (his current pace) but the way he is playing right now is the player he is. One of the best skaters in the league, relentless, top PK forward, can provide some decent secondary scoring... I know the narrative from this summer but 2.95 AAV is not that much for all he provides. Kubalik will usually outscore him due to his shot and PP utilization but Joseph is better in pretty much any other facets of the game.

We need to win, Joseph has a lot more impact for us than Kubalik could. Kubalik could help a team that lacks scoring depth and particularly dangerous shots on the PP.
