If it was Benning + Blackwood that would make more sense. And Sharks I think would do that.

It wouldn’t cost that much to dump campbell though a team like wan Jose would just buy him out and immediately would open up 3.5M in cap

If you're a rebuilding team, you just hang onto the contract and wait it out. Buying out a player only stretches that cap hit into your next playoff window, it makes no sense.

Well, they beat the Oilers last night. So does that mean the Oilers are the worst team you've ever seen?
To add more salt to the wound, Chicklets said that the best AHL team could beat them, so does that mean they'd beat the Oilers too?
(Just a Canucks fan taking joy at a trainwreck that for once isn't us).
