Nylander has just been solid

No to MTL trade (dont need)

No to Min trade (Sammy will rebound as we saw vs. Van)

It's also a hard no from Calgary. Nylander doesn't do anything for the Flames and he's not going to resign if they are sellers

Nylander is Toronto's best player, There's no freaking way Brad Treliving is trading him. And Nylander isn't waiving for Calgary if they're in selloff mode.

I would assume an extension would be part of the deal or what's the point?

I'm pretty sure any team could use Nylander. Who turns down a player on a 15 game points streak?

I'd hate to push Greer out. It'd be tough, but I think we could find a spot in the lineup for him.

He's playing great this year, I'm not denying that. Reminds me so much of anyone else looking to cash in on a big contract though. But no I disagree. Nylander would almost certainly not be interested in extending with Calgary at this point in time and he will be 28 at the start of his next deal.

Also whats the point in bringing up the point streak. Huberdeau had a 13game, 10 game, and 8 game PS where he put up 24, 17, and 20 points respectively the year before we acquired him. I'm not saying Nylander will mail it in but I don't think he will play as aggressively as he is after his deal is done.

Nylander actually looks good as opposed to Huby. What you just said makes a lot of of sense, what you originally said was dismissive and poopy. 💩

What's wrong with what I said originally? Trading away our best sellable assets for another rental is counterproductive. Nylander doesn't help Calgary tank and gaining Nylander while not having a 1C or defensive depth is not effective for a winning strategy
