Rebuild V700

Created by: Flames1217
Team: 2023-24 Calgary Flames
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 14, 2023
Published: Nov. 14, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
CGY
  1. Bourque, Mavrik
  2. Faksa, Radek
  3. 2024 1st round pick (DAL)
  4. 2025 3rd round pick (DAL)
DAL
  1. Hanifin, Noah ($2,475,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Really like the fit with Dallas for Hanifin.

Dallas is a great market, has a solid d corps but I feel like Hanifin would really compliment Miro well.

The move also adds a very solid 2/3 defender without subtracting from thier roster.

Faska added to even out salaries (dump).
2.
CGY
  1. Gibson, Andrew [Reserve List]
  2. Määttä, Olli
  3. 2024 1st round pick (BOS)
  4. 2025 2nd round pick (DET)
DET
  1. Lindholm, Elias
Additional Details:
Yzerman has been aggressively building this team for quite some time and it feels like Lindholm would fit like a glove.

Lethal 1-2 punch down the middle with him and Larkin.

With all the defenders leaving Maata provides some depth and relieves Detroit of his cap hit.
3.
CGY
  1. Klingberg, John
  2. 2024 1st round pick (TOR)
TOR
  1. Tanev, Christopher ($2,250,000 retained)

Personally I don't think Stillman is worth very much but the org is probably higher on him and wouldn't do this

If were giving up a first, Zadorov will also have to be included

I don't think Detroit will be a buyer this year. Like the player, won't like his next cap hit. Also trading what is likely a lottery pick isn't something we would be doing.

I agree, with Boston's 2024 1st round pick going to Ottawa Detroit gets their 2024 1st round pick back and it won't be going anywhere.

Could maybe add a prospect instead of the first.

I was considering the value to be that of a late first (20s).

Maybe add Detroit's 2025 1st top 10 protected or their 2026 1st unprotected. But Detroit doesn't really have any late 1st round picks they'd be willing to part with. They have Kasper 8th, Danielson 9th, Axel Sandin Pellikka 17th, Cossa 15th and Wallinder 32nd and I can't see any of them being traded. I do like Lindholm but with Compher, Veleno, Rasmussen, Danielson and Kasper there really isn't a pressing need for Lindholm. Especially when they aren't a playoff team yet.

With Lindholm I believe that you would be.

The 2025 top 10 protected would do.
