Not opposed to this, I actually like it quite a bit. I really hope we sell tho, which would likely include Brock.

Id do this if theres only a top 5 or 8 protection on this just to give us a bit more hope. I also wouldnt wanna give the 4th just because we need picks

Really good Idea IMO, Nelson seems like he's the type of player that would fit in seamlessly in Boston

I think Boston might be more inclined to keep the young guys and picks this year
Brock Nelson at $3m is a hell of a bargain though

Brock nelson only being at 6 mil is already a steal, there would have to be more return if half is getting retained.

Not sure that Nelson fits into the "younger" core that Boston is building but I don't hate it.

I like Brock Nelson this season, but I think his age is a limiting factor here. Boston's core outside of Marchand is relatively young - I would rather build this team for the next 6 years than giving up assets to go for it in the next two years.

Yea Nelson at 3m for this and next year is the biggest thing. Allows them to not necessarily go after a center in FA this year as well

For all the age comments, he's only 32 and playing at a very high level. You can likely get at least 4 more productive years out of him.

I think we can get a little more than this with Brock at 50%, but like others have said here, if we sell, Nelson should go and we'll get a crazy good return for him.
