Caps hard pass. They are stacked at D and Ferraro isn't even 3rd round pick good.

yeah... i dont think there is a single player on the Sharks i would give a 1st due to contracts + age or how terrible the team is currently. (obviously prospects arent included in this)

I’d do that. I’m pretty comfortable we can trade Geekie for a decent pick to enable this deal. I’ve done a variation that included him

The Caps don't need D. Especially not for a ridiculous price

Caps aren't stacked on D and desperately need an upgrade there but a first for Ferraro is insane. He's taken over the title from Peeke of "defenseman people think is underrated because he plays big minutes on an awful team"

Switch Barabanov and Benning and I think the Avs might have interest. A RHD is a more likely add than a forward imo.

Exactly. He isn't that good. His analytics are terrible. If Caps get a D it needs to be a legit. I still don't think they need it but if they did it needs to be like Andersson or something. Still, all assets need to getting a young top 6 forward.

Both are definitely needs but its clear that Johansen, AA, and HHA aren't good NHL defenseman and Jensen has fallen off a cliff. Sandin has been good but not Orlov as well, I think another top 4 guy is honestly more important than a forward right now. Its clear that Ferraro ain't that though

Ferraro is worth a 1rst. He's a top 4 LD w/ 3 years left on an affordable contract. He might not fit w/ Wash. but don't say he's not worth that to someone who need a top 4 LD. And, FWIW, I want to keep him.

I'd disagree about AA and Aktell, especially Aktell. His analytics are very strong. AA has been up and down but when he's up he's good. I think Johansen just missed too much development time due to injury unfortunately.
