As a Flames fan, I would buy a Habs jersey if Montreal could offer Drasaitl 9.5 and have Edmonton match. At 22.75M, McDavid and Drasaitl would be making more than most team's top-4 defensemen combined.

If Bergevin doesn't sign Markov he will have money to do an offer sheet ... hope he will and get a #1 center for over 10 years that's what MTL need ...

You're right, interesting, that makes a lot more sense. In that case, I would expect any offer sheet to be only 5 years.
