Marner deal starts with a top 2 D or Stutzle/Tkachuk

No thanks, he’d want a massive contract in a couple years, I’d rather target someone who’s signed for longer/lower AAV, not to mention Ottawa needs all the 1sts they can get after trading the last few

Stutzle has more trade value than Marner one for one.

The Sens have no interest in trading for Marner but if they did, this is more or less a fair offer I think.

You get a 60-70 point winger on a great contract, young versatile bottom pairing defenseman, young center with untapped potential who could easily be a 50-point two-way player for a long time, a rental 15-20 goal scorer, and a 1st which will probably be in the 15-22 range.

So yeah I completely understand why you'd never want to trade Marner but if he did get traded this is absolutely a quality return.

The only pieces of interest are Batherson, Pinto, and a 1st. No incentive for the Leafs, they don’t improve defensively and replace a 100 point winger who PK’s for two fringe T6 wingers. I can’t see the Leafs doing this

Batherson is not a fringe top six player. In a down year last season he had 62 points, he could easily get 75 points a year and he's only making $4.9 million for the next 4 years.

Pinto could easily be a long-term 50-60 point, two-way center which everyone in the league wants.

I get that you'd rather do a Marner for Jason Robertson deal or someone like that but thats not gonna happen.

Batherson, Pinto and a late 1st is probably the most id offer for Marner. He’s gonna be the highest paid winger in 2 years. He’s not worth Stutzle or Tkachuk 1 for 1

If I am the leafs I would take it and run…they can flip the 1st or just trade there’s for Tanev or another top D.

I think Batherson could be a good fit with Matthews and Bertuzzi or Knies.

I was not disputing the value of the trade I was just saying they would not be looking for a package but would be looking for a better quality player that steps in right away like a top pairing D

Only doing this if Toronto retains 50% and if Marner extends under 10.0 AAV

Marner has 1 more year at $10,903,000, Batherson 3 more years at $4,975,000

Yes Marner is quite better than Batherson but considering the contracts, no way you add Pinto + 1st + 2nd + 3rd (Kubalik)

lol not even close

No chance they trade any of Stutzle, Sanderson or Tkachuk for Marner

Stutzle has a LOT more value than Marner, and also quite more than Matthews

Ever heard of age/contracts?

Stutzle has the 15th best PPG in the league since last season, tied with Marner. Matthews in the rear mirror
