Realistic Perry destinations with explanations

Created by: Brad_Treliving
Team: 2023-24 Custom Team
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 30, 2023
Published: Nov. 30, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
BOS: A prototypical Bruin. I would love to see both him and Marchand on the same team

TOR: Leafs tried to sign him back in 2020 (and Perry reportedly begged the Leafs to sign him) but Dubas thought it would be a good idea to waste cap space on Simmonds (LOL)

MTL: Not sure if Perry would have the desire to go to a non-contender, but the fit is there. He is very familiar with the organization

ANA: Where it all started. Go back to the Ducks and retire his number?

FLA: Played on one end of Florida, why not try the other?

NYR: Perry has cup aspirations and the Rangers are looking like a wagon

Am I missing anyone else?

I know Caufield have a lot of respect on Perry, remember that he called him when he was sent to Laval in 2022 to give him somes advices.

I'm not surprise if he can went to ask Kent Hughes about signing him a low value contract.

Perry just got his contract terminated and there may be incoming legal issues or other for Perry, why would any team take a shot on Perry right now?

Yeah, I think the realistic destinations for Perry are retirement or some European league if he really wants to play. I doubt an NHL GM is going to let him near their team if Chicago just cut him like that.
