Both are good for Winnipeg, but Calgary and the Islanders will be looking for more. But it would be nice if it happened!

If CGY is looking at trading him, a high 2nd and a top prospect is enough.

NYI is tough, I thought about trading Ehlers but one NYI fan said that if they are looking to trade Pulock, they would want to go young...I though two decent prospects, a good mid 6 roster player plus a 1st is enough.

I hope you're right.

Man, I doubt that gets CGY or NYI to bite at all.

I don't think Lucius doesn't get you Lindholm (extended, mind you) 1 for 1, which is what is implied by adding Schmidt into the trade cause he is a cap dump and that 2nd is his sweetener.

Pulock is a top pairing RHD. Even if NYI were looking to trade him other teams would beat that offer. If they wanted to get younger, they'd at least target our top D prospect in Elias Salomonsson, not unheardof prospects Wagner or Lundmark. And what does Appleton offer NYI? They need LH scoring wingers; Appie is neither.

Firstly, I don't think the Isles are going to be doing any sort of tear down as long as Lou is in charge; but this is ACGM not IRLGM. I think this package is light for Pulock, honestly - he's a solid #2/3 RHD on a very reasonable salary at this point in his career. I get that Appleton would be necessary salary ballast, but I would think that the total return would be more than a single 1st and a pair of mid/lower-tier prospects. Neither Lundmark nor Wagner stand out as slam-dunk NHL prospects and I would think that a Pulock trade would want to stress quality over quantity.
