Made some minor tweaks.

I honestly love this roster. This may be our perfect scenario.

6 LD and 2RD in our top 8. So the only sub optimal thing but this can still work just fine.

would you want a 3rd coming back to the Leafs? Let's assume Lily and the 1st are in there. Basically your NJD Bahl trade but it's Lily and not Bahl?

Bahl doesn’t have as much value as Lily

Hanifin is extended in t his scenario as well. Lily + 1st is the lowest I see Hanifin costing. But I understand prefering the 1st + Niemela + other picks package.

I think they are better off trying to get Hanifin+Tanev+Greer if they are giving up Liljegren. Of course, they can't give a 1st + 3rd for Tanev in the form of another 1st rounder, but if they can get Tanev+Greer at the value of two 2nds+3rd or valuing Liljegren as a 1st then maybe they can get a deal done. Also, acquire Seeler for a 4th, although maybe the Leafs should look into acquiring Logan Stanley as their 4th LD.

For Hanifin: 2024 1st+ 2027 2nd + 2023 3rd + Holmberg/Steeves (near NHL-ready prospect that just needs a chance as a sweetener)
For Tanev: Liljegren (some might value him as a 1st others/an early 2nd which is more or less equivalent to two very, late 2nds) + 2026 3rd + Abruzesse (if they want him)

I got to say that I'm not the best fan of that Hanifin extension but I guess it is what it is. Leafs might be better off keeping Liljegren but for cap reasons, they probably have to move off of him if they are signing Hanifin and Nylander.

At that price I’d rather just resign Walker, dudes been killing it as a top four RHD this season. You can have Seeler for a third though.
