Yeah realistically there isn’t a deal that makes sense for both teams and it’s not going to happen, but in a hypothetical world where it does I can’t see the Canucks taking a package that doesn’t have at least one of Hischier or Nemec, if not both
And NJD simply can't make it work with Dougie making 9, quinn 8, marino 4.4, siegs 3.4, Luke's new deal and giving up the ELC+rfa value nemec will provide the next few years.
with dougie quinn luke that probably pushes casey out of a role, making him obsolete.
So you'd need to find a FA RD, which isn't cheap, let's say 3 mill for a decent one. That's a 36 mill dcore right there if luke gets an 8x8.
And does long term
Quinn-Marino
Luke-Random UFA
Dougie-Siegs
work that much better (considering it's taking 3 elite PP QBs into 2 spots, wasting at least 1.5 of their skills) than.
The problem with Quinn is it makes 3 solid assets in Dougie, Casey, and Bahl all obsolete to us. And then you're asking for the only long term asset that fits into a really good 2 way mold.
Luke-Nemec
Random UFA/Bahl/Trade asset-Marino
Siegs-Dougie
Probably not that much especially at the cost
Quinn-Marino
Luke-Nemec
Bahl-Casey
I like that long term.
Same with
Quinn-Marino
Luke-Nemec
Siegs-UFA/Casey
The assets I'd have on the table:
Bahl, Casey, Holtz, Mercer, Meier, Siegs, Picks, any other prospect, Bratt, Mcleod.
Hamilton would HAVE to be the centerpiece.
Either that or Meier-Marino (similar to Huberdeau Weegar)
