They have plenty of cap space available for next season. Habs might accept moving Allen for a 3rd and Nadeau, but Evans on his own should get at least a 3rd if not a 2nd

Sabres are ABSOLUTELY NOT trading for Allen
1- UPL is playing BETTER
2- if the Sabres look for a goalie- IF - they’ll look for a legit starter. Maybe someone like Saros. They aren’t gonna bring in a backup like Allen- NO WAY

Not really plenty of cap space, Montreal should get rid of Armia, Dvorack, Allen and maybe Evans = $13 400 000 in our cap space.

Even that I like Evans, Montreal will gonna find a way to have a good & solid bottom 6, but I can see a lot of players are great and are available for the spot.

Allen blows
After a good start of a few games, he’s been horrible

0-4-1 in his last 5 games, with a save% of .844
Not a big sample size, but it’s half the games he’s played this year
His save% for the season is under.900, just like it was last year
He hasn’t been good for over 4 years now

Allen is absolutely the wrong goalie to target for the Sabres
It’s not happening

Cause Allen is a close to replacement level goalie.

Allen is the next Edmundson. He’s going to be on the market for the entire year and teams aren’t going to buy the Habs BS on his “value”.

There’s a reason mediocre Monty plays over him. Allen is not a goalie suitable for a deep rebuild in Montreal why the heck would be be suitable for any team, especially one like the Sabres who want to take a step forward.

Why do you need cap space? Habs are in a rebuild. They are retaining salary.

And, the Sabres defense is much better. Should improve his number. He'd be a major upgrade on Comrie.

But, he's a Hab. Use your irrational emotions.

He doesn’t make them better so why is he an upgrade?

Allen was horrific in the 5 games before Montreal benched him and decided he can’t play in the NHL anymore.

So you're saying Sabres and Habs teams are on par? And the goaltending results are comparable.

Comparable enough. Both are non playoff teams with defensive issues. Buffalo has much better prospects and talent though, but are by no means close to a defensive powerhouse that could make a non NHL goalie like Allen work.

Mmm I'd disagree. Sabres are under preforming. Habs are exceeding expectations despite injuries. The difference being mostly coaching. Sabres have a very good defense. UPL isnt ready to be a starter. Levi still needs AHL grooming and Comrie is what you claim Allen is. Allen would provide support for UPL to be more effective. Sabres only need to diversify their bottom 6 to be more malleable on the road. Robinson isnt the answer. All that to say, Sabres would be better wit Allen. And Allen would be better away from Montreal with a defined role and work load.

Weird, Sabres fans who actually watch their team say otherwise. But I’m sure Mr Montreal Fan who wants to get an asset for his useless goalie knows more about the Sabres than Sabres fans.
