He may get a 1st and 2nd with 50% retention (though it'll be a late 1st because it'll be from a playoff team), but you can't compare him to Hronek, because Hanifin is a rental, while Hronek was a longer term acquisition, signed for one year beyond the season in which he was traded and a RFA after that.

Guenther is a recent 9th overall pick. I don't know if he's still that highly regarded, but if he's anywhere close, this is a very good return for a rental. For Arizona, I know they're sitting in a playoff position now, but surely they don't think they're a serious enough contender to give up futures for rentals. This trade makes sense for them only if it comes with a good chance for an extension.
