Danny B seems to think Walker is worth a 1st (hes drunk).

Edmonton won't move Broberg unless it actually benefits them

I don't think a first rounder is out of the question based on historical returns (Manson in particular). Walker is one of the very best in the NHL right now for generating quality chances as well as suppressing them. He can play all situations and has played extremely well this year in Philadelphia. Wouldn't be opposed to 2nd + prospect.

He's never been more than a depth defenseman and that's really all he'll be on a genuine contender. He's just getting loaded minutes on a bad team and looks good in a short 20 game sample size. A GM would be insane to pay any sort of price near a first

A 2nd and a good prospect is possible if the flyers let him talk with other teams and negotiate an extension before the trade.

I don't think his utilization is going to be a depth defensemen on a contending team. While he averages second-pair TOI for the Flyers, his per/60 rates are one of the best in the NHL with respect to shot generation and expected goals suppression. Walker is also doing this in the context of having average puck luck (PDO = 1.000) and having a relatively worse deployment (o-zone start time = 43.52%) compared to others. Can't really qualify the Flyers as a "bad team", considering they are currently in the playoff picture a week into December. I don't anticipate they will remain a playoff team, but the Flyers certainly have not played poorly this year. He's closer to being worth a 1st than he is a 3rd.

I'd imagine most teams would easily beat that Broberg offer.

I wouldn't classify them a good team, either. The only RD they are currently running being Walker and Risto. He's playing minutes above what he's used to and while has looked good, is still a small sample size that is likely to fall to earth.

I personally wouldn't pay that hefty price Danny B loves to tag on all of his guys, but some GM's might be stupid enough.

Sanheim has played on the right side this year as well. None of the underlying numbers nor the eye test would indicate he is playing at an unsustainable level.
