Even with retention, Lyubushkin isn't enough of a meaningful upgrade to spend a 2nd on. Given their cap situation, they also can't really afford (technically they CAN, but they would be very unwise to) to increase their cap expenditure at the 3RD position.

I don't think the Caps give up Leonard in any situation

I think the Oilers are pretty happy with Desharnais. I don't think they'd be at all interested in upgrading to Lyubushkin

I would accept the second deal, I wouldn't be disappointed with the third exchange, but as I mentioned in the companion mirror ACGM, I wouldn't accept Leonard and one season of Kuznetsov for Trevor Zegras' next 5 seasons. (Alexeyev is redundant in light of LaCombe, Mintyukov, Vakkanainen and Zellweger, and probably offset by Jones and the fourth.)

I always see you on here reppin' socal teams so I figured I'd ask. What's up with the Zegras trades? I don't get them.

I think that his extended stay on the LTIR list (and resulting questions about his eventual recovery, just like Jamie Drysdale's) has given people the idea that the Ducks may be eager to escape what might be a disastrous injury future (like Nolan Patrick's).

I’d do that Rangers trade for sure. I hope they grab a forward soon rather than later at TDL. Chytil and Kakko can come back for playoffs if healthy

Is Zegras concussion related? Or head trauma related?

Didn't realize Drysdale was back on LTIR.

Nagging upper body injury, didn't seem to be any signs of it being head related.

Jamie unfortunately got hurt at seasons start as well. However both are on the road trip and expected to play on it, likely both start tonight.

Knowing that this season was a long shot for the playoffs, the focus is to make sure the kids develop, and there's likely little to no appetite to rush them back into the lineup until they were 100% for fear of reactivating the injury and taking them back out of the lineup after a couple weeks.
