Casey might be the best D not in the NHL right now. I don't think the Devils are keen on moving him.

From a Ducks perspective, don't you guys have a ton of really high end D prospects(including the guys in the show)

I really don't think we need another power play QB defenseman, even if they are right shot.

How sure are we that Drysdale will ever stay healthy?

Mintyukov, Zellweger, Luneau, even LaCombe is offense oriented, and those are just the ones I can name from memory.

I don't know that we need right shot D specifically to be PPQB, and unless we want to run a 3-2 power play, we really need to focus on getting some scoring wingers.

Retain 50% and I'd still decline.

It's as simple as this.

If Gibson contract got voided today what would he get on the open market. I don't think the answer to this is more than 5/5.5 mill.

If his contract was voided this past offseason what would he have gotten in free Agency: I don't think the answer to this is more than 4.5 mill

So again, placing his value at 5 millx4 years. That's 20 mill in value he provides.

50% retained he costs 12.8 mill. That's 7.2 mill in surplus value.

How much surplus value does Holtz, who has 2 years left at 900k+ 3 years of RFA control after, provide.

Btw at even Strength:

Holtz: 1.66 goals/60, 2.28 points/60
And just for a quick comparison
Auston Matthews:
1.22 goals/60, 2.27 points/60

He's upset that Hughes is better than Matthews, was better than him last year, and the leafs are gonna end up paying matthews like 113 million dollars while the devils pay hughes 64 mill to be better

We do, but almost all of them are left shot. Right side is Drysdale and Luneau with Helleson and Warren as defensive first guys. Only real pedigree top 4 guy is Drysdale, the rest are maybes.

Ahh the old Red Wings draft a bunch of D but they're all left handed strategy

Gonna be hard for New Jersey to contend when their starting goalie has a below .900 SV%. I sure hope their GM sees that
