You are on the right track in digging Detroit out of their cap mess. Ericsson to the Rangers couldn't happen. There is no way that package would land Brady Skjei. I bet Detroit could land Nick Holden but even with only 1 million held by Detroit I doubt the Rangers make that move. They have so much money committed to next season already and will have several more RFAs besides Skjei to re-sign. Moving out Sheahan and Mrazek for whatever they can get it a good start. I hadn't thought of putting Kronwall on LTIR but with his bad knee that could be a realistic possibility.

I agree that was far fetched the basic logic was moving his cap...I just really want skjei lol. Anyway I adjusted it following more closely the logic of shedding his salary as primary goal instead of big return...this is more viable as ericson's ntc becomes modified after this year.
