I’d argue it’s the worst.

Could definitely get more for Lindholm; take out Jones, add Gulyayev or Behrens and another pick.

New Jersey declines. Meier is struggling but Huberdeau is struggling worse. At least Meier has a more recent history of success, is younger and cheaper. The upgrade in goal doesn't make up for the downgrade at wing, let alone adding a prospect and a 1st.

Could get more for Hanifin for sure, especially with how well he's playing. I don't know if Nashville is a great fit, but the return should be the equivalent of a 1st and two 2nds.

I see a fit in trading a goalie to Edmonton, but if the Flames are taking Campbell back it would probably need to be a huge return. A couple 1sts and a top prospect.

Nazem Kadri has been a big bright spot for the Flames this year, I wouldn't want to trade him at all unless Calgary actually gets a good return of futures. I get that Kuznetsov's contract is done sooner and the Flames could move on from him, but the two centres aren't that comparable otherwise.

Skinner was the worst until Buffalo rebuilt and there was no pressure. Huberdeau is unmoveable yes but his play is a confidence issue. The skill is still there. Look at Kadri, he was playing far worse than Huberdeau to start the season. We gave him a few young guns with motivation to play with and he completely turned his game around. Huberdeau will figure it out again as soon as he gets out of his own head

Lindholm will get more. Horvat is a proper comparable. Keeping in mind that Ratu in that deal was New Yorks best prospect.
New Jersey strongly passes. Hubby is unmovable right now. Markstrom would clear waivers right now also, based on his cap hit.
Hanifin will fetch a much better package than that. He is the best dman available. Add a 1st and it still might be short. Hampus Lindholm is a proper comparable in my mind, if there is an extension in place. so 1st, 2 x 2nds, + okay prospect. I assume he gets a touch less though.
Edmonton accepts that deal so fast. You just saved them from having to deal with Jack Campbells contract.
Washington passes. Both are similar but Kadri's contract runs for a very very long time.

Until it or if it does it’s the worst and it isn’t close. 37pt pace 30yrs old $10.5M and a full NMC for half a decade. Thats rough.

Yes. Again, he's unmovable. Flames fans know that.

I would argue the Nurse contract is similarly as bad, yes he's cheaper but even in a change of scenery there is zero chance Nurse could ever be worth 80% of that cap hit

This is a Troll Post = Stick to you Red Wings there bud

Anybody suggesting retention on a player past 2 seasons doesn’t deserve much, if any, attention or credibility AFAIC
