Kings can not take on 11 million. With Arvidsson on LTIR they can filed a 23 man roster, once they lose that and Fiala they do not have the cap space for Marner.

Without even going into the issue of trading 6 seasons of Fiala and 6 or more seasons of Clarke for one season of Marner, or Fiala's absolute NMC, Marner's cap hit precludes this even if you retained 50% on Mitch (ha, ha).

Good points; Marner has a full NMC as well. Ridiculous proposal ; I guess everyone is bored with no hockey for a few days. Thankfully World Juniors tomorrow

Fiala has like what, a whole 5 or 6 points less then Marner?
What a steal for LA this would be... 🙄

Most sane people on this site have agreed this trade proposal is beyond ridiculous - for many reasons, on both sides. But trying to compare Foala to Marner is trending back towards the opposite of sane 🙄. Widening sample size and using stats from past 3 years - goals, points , time in ice
Marner: 35/96/20:52; 30/99/21:16; 13/36/21:13
Fiala: 33/85/17:35; 23/72/17:15; 6/29/16:04
Marner produces at a higher rate including goals, is used in all situations - PK1, PP1, was first team all star in 21 & 22, selke finalist in 23. Simply the much better player so hit the brakes on comparing them 🤦🏻

So Fiala gets less ice time and produces a bit less on a more defensive team and doesn't have Matthews or Nylander level talent around him.
