TBH I think Winnipeg could be a Stanley Cup contender team without Tanev and Lindholm.

Agreed tbh but we have the pieces and cap space to make some moves and these are two players who would fit perfectly with bowness's system so I can't see it being a negative, and if we did upgrade 2nd line C and physical Defensive RD are our two needs but I am loving our current team

Don't want Tanev..at all..he doesn’t do much for WPG and he's getting hugely overrated on here lately…and absolutely not giving up Salomonsson
Drop Salomonsson, WPG 2nd, and Tanev and its a good deal

Flames accept, especially with no retention.

WIN’s good but not that good. Sim the playoffs now and they have DAL in the first round, probably COL in the second and either LAK, VGK or VAN in the Conference Finals then probably NYR in the finals. No way they’re better than 90% of the teams listed.

You don't have to be the "better" team to win a playoff round, you just have to win 4 games. The Jets are a team that can take 4 games off of Dallas and Colorado.

By the time you get to the conference finals, there's likely going to be injuries on both sides. The Jets are one of those teams that somehow manage to win games when key players are out of the lineup (Vilardi and Connor so far this season, last season it was a rotation of about half our top6 from November to the all-star break). There's only really 3 Jets that would sink our cup odds if they get injured (Jomo, Lowry, Helle) but other than them, I think an equal number of injuries between teams would heavily favour the Jets.

Finals is the same story, whoever you play is gonna be a strong team with some injuries. The things that matter are depth and buy-in from the locker room, both of which the Jets have in spades this year. Are they gonna be the better team skill-wise? Likely not. But they don't really have any players who are liabilities this year. I think the 23-24 Jets have what it takes to win 4 games against a lot of "better" teams. I would be disappointed if they don't make it to the conference finals at the very least.

Only one of those teams I'm worried about is Vegas we haven't had much success against them, Colorado we beat especially if they don't upgrade their 2C, Dallas is a good series we win unless Oettinger finds his game again and LA ik not worried about at all I foresee a Rangers vs Vegas or Winnipeg Final

Tanev is a great Dman not sure why you wouldn't want him he's a massive upgrade from Schmidt
