    4. 2025 1st round pick (LAK)
    Additional Details:
LA needs a goaltender. Ullmark will be great for them. In return Boston gets to capable fringe NHL players and a nice bottom 6 forward in Lizotte. Of course a 1st is smacked on here aswell.
    LAK
    1. Ullmark, Linus
    Additional Details:
It could be expected that Ullmark could resign here. His ballpark is probably 2-4 years between 5-7m I would say.

Why exactly does LA need a goaltender? Both of their goalies are playing better than Ullmark.

A 2 game sample. OK. You choosing to disregard Rittich’s AHL stats?

With goalies with 15 starts or more, Talbott is 8th and Ullmark is 9th in Goals Saved Above Expected per 60 with Ullmark being above a lot of other premium goalies.

LA should focus on securing Talbott long term because Copley has not been very good. This trade makes no sense for LA.

It’s great that the risk LA took has panned out unlike teams like Jersey, Ottawa, Buffalo, and Edmonton.

No, my point is that it doesn't matter who plays in goal for the Kings. They'll make do with average. The team in front of them is that good.

The Guentzel offer gets beaten, in all likelihood. A B-tier prospect and a 1st is probably the bare minimum. Bussi isn't all that exciting since the Pens have Joel Blomqvist a year or two out of NHL readiness. DeBrusk was really good last season, but hasn't played well enough this year to make up the difference, and will also be a UFA this offseason.

Guentzel's offer aside, there's no way Swayman is making 8.5mil, and Derek Forbort sure as hell won't be playing top-pair minutes

Obviously the “exception” & not the “rule”
Thinking u can recreate the exception is a fools errand

I think that's exactly the plan. Blake has said as much.

I generally think Blake is a smart guy & a good GM,
but that seems like a foolish plan imo
