I don’t think Mercer is even a good enough centrepiece for Brady lol. Brady is a unicorn , only a monster sized package could get him out of ottawa.

I’d put Mercer’s value on par with Necas’s value. Maybe a bit higher depending on what contract he ends up with.

Alternative would be Dougie, who I doubt we trade, but Nemec has filled the gap nicely…and Luke was on PP1 before his injury.

The Sens need a trade that gives them help now, and improves the prospect pool all at once

Chychrun - Minnesota needs a PP qb, I would try Chychrun there. The have deep prospect pool. And have another year squeezed by buyouts, so his low cap hit could sell there.

Brady - Blues is too obvious a target. Winnipeg maybe. Carolina would be good too.

      How about…

Trade 1: Chychrun for Hartman, Lambos or Peart, Lorenz or Heidt

Trade 2: Brady, JBD for Jarvis, Blake, Pesce (extended), pick

Marner with extension for Tkachuk in the offseason, as the base of a deal. Leafs get the shakeup they need if they lose again this spring, Sens get a star two-way playmaker to spark offense on any line he's on.

      Absolutely not... Tkachuk doesn't help Toronto's need;

      - Bad defender
      - No playoff experience
      - Too emotional
      - Big contract

If you're going to trade Marner, target cheap; cap wise, quality defensemen with 2 or more years left and a not as good but way cheaper replacement

Bad trade for both teams. Doesn’t fit for ottawa they don’t need a 12 mill dollar forward

Sure, but Toronto doesn't offer that in the first place

Yep, and they'll get some defence and draft capital in exchange... And yes, Marner will get a bigger haul than Tkachuk

nope, marner will be a ufa and if tor dont sign him walks, not many teams can afford a 12M+ winger so they will offer little or wait for him to hit ufa , and he has a nmc so that limits further the teams tor can trade him too

Oh, And Pierre Engvall has 7 years left, wonder how much of a haul he'll get

      Blues: Kyrou, Neighbors/Dean/Bolduc, Tucker, 2024-1st, 2024-3rd, 2025-2nd

      Sens: Tkachuk and 2024-3rd

Most of Blues dmen have terrible contracts and are above 30…that’s why I chose Tucker. Can play both LD/RD, 23 yrs old, has 1 yr $800k left on contract…maybe Lindstein? I don’t know. I’m not sure Blues even have enough for what Sens would want. Kyrou and Parayko???

Canes to me make most sense as far as value coming back. I mean maybe Nashville could offer a lot, Flyers possibly?

This team lacks true leaders and winners. Aside from Giroux & Tarasenko there is no one with any experience.
