They could have kept Comrie if they wanted to play a dog water goalie

After this year, the only place he could be bouncing might be back to Russia.

Buffalo has a ton of cap space. It's literally no risk at all, if he's bad then he will be gone from your team at the end of the season

Toronto just pulled him less then 2 weeks ago in Buffalo because he couldn’t make a save. Why would Buf think about taking a chance on him. No way

He's having a bad Year, but he's got solid Career Numbers compared to what we have in Net at this point

Cause if he does find his Head, he's better than anything we have at this point. He's got solid career numbers.

His contract is only til the end of year so Adams may take a shot after watching Levi last night he needs seasoning in AHL.

That's my biggest thing, there destroying Levi. The Team in front of him isn't playing Hockey, more Beer League. Pick up Samsanov and send Levi down and just let him play and have some fun, find his game. Maybe you get lucky and the change of scenery and you get last years Samsanov by the end of the Year. Him and Levi could make a decent tandem if he finds his head.

Don't need to help Toronto for free, and I'm sure Pegula doesn't want to piss anymore money away this year. Samsonov is toast everyone in the league sees that. If they want a trash goalie, they already have Comrie. GMKA also said he and his management group wanted to keep Levi up all year.

Levi is fine. They aren't destroying him because he doesn't have a league leading GAA and SV%

Has nothing to do with his Gaa or Sv%, has everything to do with Destroying his confidence and Growth.

You're not really helping us. We already have $4M in cap space which is enough to make some moves (and that's without moving pieces to go the other way which will give us more cap space). Sending Sammy down gives us another $1M so Leafs are good regardless

If anything, claiming Sammy could back fire on the Leafs. If Jones plays below .900, Hildeby isn't NHL ready, and Woll gets hurt again, then Leafs are in BIG trouble

Then why TML fans so desperate to get rid of him, when nobody wants him. Stop pawning him off on Buffalo, there is less than 0 interest there

Change of scenery more than anything. We could care less if he gets claimed or not and when Sammy is on his game, he is a very good goalie
