Not knowing about the prospects, I hate this trade on the Sharks side for a few reasons, some of them dumb.

First of all, that's using up the Sharks' last retention slot for two years.

Second of all, the picks are third rounders and we're talking about the Sharks who have been horrendous throughout their entire history in the third round. With Linus Karlsson playing a handful of games for the Canucks and Daniil Gushchin playing a handful of games for the Sharks it MIGHT be turning around, but they've combined for seven games and before them the Sharks had five players in their entire history drafted in the third round to play any NHL time...and that includes a goalie who played forty minutes in his career. The best they've gotten out of the third round was Thomas Greiss. They've actually been more successful in the seventh round than in the third round, and that's by percentage rather than number of successful picks (since they've had a lot more seventh round picks than third).

Finally, Ryan Reaves is very hated in San Jose. Him not playing for FV anymore and Kane not playing in SJ anymore minimizes it a bit, but I'm definitely not alone among Sharks fans in disliking him. He was bad enough years ago that Sharks fans joked when he was suspended that his team should instead be forced to play him 20 minutes a night, and he's gotten older and not any better since then.

I know most of those reasons are dumb and as I said I don't know about the prospects so I'm not voting in the poll, but I'd probably turn it down for the reasons listed.
