There is no universe where the Canucks take on Barrie. He is at this point in his career simply a pp guy and the Canucks have Hughes and Hronek that would be pp options long before Barrie is considered. Garland right now is playing so well and driving one of the best 3rd lines in hockey. Canucks decline.

I disagree with my Ranger brethren. I do Novak for a first all day everyday and run. I’d even throw in a prospect to get him.

The chances they get as good a player that late in the first rd is unlikely. And waiting 3-4 years for said guy isnt worth it if we’re getting an NHL player they desperately need RIGHT NOW (3C)
