Seriously. Why would they give up a 2nd to downgrade? It frees up some cap space next year but hurts them this year, and I can't see Lou looking to punt on this season at this point.

Palmieri and Zucker are basically the same player, not really changing much other than making both players fit into a different system of play.

Nate Schmidt is an interesting choice but he does nothing for the future of AZ. If there is any tinkering with the team with trades it will be for players that can grow with the team (Sean Durzi). That is why a guy like Hanifin is tossed around as a fit in AZ, still young that can add to and grow with the team.

AZ might well challenge for a playoff spot without much tinkering. They are ahead of schedule and the young talent is growing faster than expected.
