Depends what CHI thinks of Mitts, but I am not entirely opposed to that.

They aren’t trading Mittelstadt. He’s their best player as of right now.

Realistically, you don’t need to go get both Murphy and Andersson, one would be enough. You can keep Jokiharju if you get one of them. Murphy is a lot more likely than Andersson too. And if you’re not going to go after Rasmus Andersson, you can get Markstrom for a lot less because Calgary probably wants to move on from that contract and let Dustin Wolf play.

At this point, I think you’d have to force Girgensons out of the league before he’d leave Buffalo. Dude seems like a lifer

Can't see the Hawks trading Murphy for Mitts. If they trade him, it will be for futures. And gotta think Hawks interest in UPL would be minimal as well.

I think if I had to pick, I would take andersson over Murphy, which means I would likely pay the premium for the upgrade (on top of what is in the op). Maybe add mittelstadt to the calagry trade and try to get lindholm, instead of markstrom. I understand that our goalies have had some unimpressive games, but to me a large part of that is the absolute chaos that our team allows defensively. Adding lindholm who is a selke type of center, and andersson should help give the goalies a fighting chance.

Calgary hangs up immediately.

A) The have no need to trade Anderson, and IF, they did it would be be for a potential 1C prospect a solid roster player and a 1st.

B) Markstrom has played well this year despite our team hanging him out to dry for the first 15 games. He has returned to form, so there isn't a need to trade him unless it's worthwhile. Wolf isn't NHL ready and needs a starter to shelter him. I dont see Vladar being that guy.

Raz for a 1st, Savoie, and Joker

Markstrom for Comrie, a 2nd and a 3rd.

We may as well keep both for that return.
