I want absolutely nothing to with Kuzmenko. Dude has not looked good this year, is insanely 1-dimentional, and seems to not respond to what VAN coaching staff needs him to do. Not worth giving up assets for at all.

I'm also insanely against taking on Campbell

What would Emberson cost? 3rd or 4th?

I am going to guess he would take on campbell to buy him out and get 3 assets for him...
I dont think EDM would do this as they would just buy him out in the summer. only way they trade him and give up assets is if they have another big trade bringing in someone and need the space.

Campbell if the right assets come with him is fine! We have more than enough cap and could just dump him in the AHL and he’ll if the rebounds maybe make him the backup!

Kuzmenko scored 39 goals last year and was a stud, I think the big issue is the new coaching staff in Vancouver play a style that doesn’t fit his, who cares cause Vancouver is killing it but we play a style more like they did last year and it’s not a lot to take a risk in him. Plus Barbi and Kuzmenko would compliment each other and should have good to great chemistry!

That’s the hope and it’s more like 2 assets! And his cap hit won’t hurt the sharks next year or 25! Worse case he’s the AHL starter.

He is literally our best RD by a wide margin and playing really strong with Ferraro, I’d say not for sale and keep him!

This isn’t the deal but I’m sure there is one we could all work out! I want Kuzmenko on the sharks as our style fits what you guys did last year vs what you guys are doing this year and he doesn’t really fit your game anymore!

Granlund really fits your guys game well but not sure you guys want him. What would you guys say is fair?

Otherwise we just sign him in 25 hehehe

Just this happy. I was picturing a scenario where there is even worse fall out with the coach by march so it was kind of a might as well get something for him for the play off run

We could hope!
I would trade our 2nd in 24 plus Duclair 50% retained for him though! At 27/28 he would be a nice middle 6 with potential to play the top line and will still be in his prime when the sharks are starting to fight for playoffs! And this draft isn’t the strongest so the % we get someone better in the 33-35 range is slim.
Plus Russian wings for Couture in Barbi Kuzmenko might be a real fun line to watch

Broberg is an asset and as longs your team can draft which how they have been tanking hopefully they have the team for it. 1st and 2nd round hit

You look at the last few drafts 20-23 and sharks have gotten decent value in the first 2 rounds and found a few kids in the later rounds who could wind up being good finds/ hidden gems.

Oh sorry I misread that. Borberg would be great if the sharks are planning on moving Ferraro for assets at the TDL but if not sharks have Thrun Okhotiyuk Mukhamadulin and Ferraro (and Furlong + Cagnioni still developing) at LD so they are kinda set there. I think sharks would want Bourgault as RW is a weaker position both in NHL and development wise.
But again if this was available sharks should pounce on it.

I think furlong + cagnioni are still 3+ years away, but I do agree LD we are set even though Thrun and Furlong both can play RD (tbd if thats at NHL level). In terms of right wing would bourgault be better than Cardsy Haltunnen or Zetterlund?

I chose three assets to dump Campbell + cover the cost of Khak + whichever D u wanted not Ferraro. Broberg is an all time low in terms of value rn

100% agree both are 2-4 years (give or take) and both likely are depth D (3rd line HS) type guys.
And if we move a LD over, Mukhamadulin is the most comfortable at RD.
Bourgault is better than Cards and Possibly Halttunen )who screams 1 dimensional scoring wing) but Zetterlund is better.
TBF I don’t love any of EDM prospects for the sharks and would rather just get extra picks.
