Ersson has been playing well and we did invest two 2nds into goalies last draft

Ersson is a beast, Kolosov is a top-5 Goalie prospect in hockey and Zavragin is off to a torrid start in his D+1 as well (not even to mention Bjarnsson who the org is very high on). Might as well deal from a position of strength and stockpile assets

Buffalo will make a trade for Hart. Not sure Ostlund is on the table but Isak Rosen could be. Buffalo has picks to go along as well.

If Buffalo wants to invest a high-end prospect in a goaltender trade, it’s not going to be for Carter Hart.

I would agree but it’s not like the options are plentiful. Clock is ticking and he is still young. Considering the depth of forward prospects the Sabres have it wouldn’t be the worst move.

I’m not convinced he’s worth a first round caliber asset. I don’t think there’s a team in the league that will pay that price or Philadelphia would’ve made the trade already. Not to say that he isn’t at least on the radar if they’re looking for a veteran goaltender, but he’s not very high on the list.

We called on Hart this summer
It’s not that we aren’t interested, Philly just wanted way too much
He’s been playing better this year though
So we might be willing to pay a bit more than this summer,
it they’d be willing to take a bit less

I’d say a deal is possible

Use a blend of mink, neatsfoot and coconut oil to the leather.

That should help revitalize a dry saddle.

It doesn’t matter what YOU think he’s worth
Matters what Adams is willing to pay, & what Philly is willing to accept

I’m not saying the OP proposal happens
Just that a trade for Hart is a realistic possibility for the Sabres
*especially if Levi/UPL stay so inconsistent

I’m sure they may be made a call to Philadelphia and probably a few other teams. I don’t think it’s more than checking in on the price tag though, and when they heard how much they wanted, they hung up. Philadelphia needs to be motivated to move him more than we’re motivated to pay for him. I wouldn’t give up a first round caliber asset for him at all. But Buffalo has more than a few above average prospects that will not make this roster because of the A-list players in front of them. Especially now that Philadelphia had to let go of Cutter Gauthier they might be more interested in some of the lesser prospects than they were this summer, keeping in mind that just because they’re not top prospects in Buffalo’s system doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be higher in Philadelphia’s.

I agree but never know if Philly was ready to deal him. Pretty sure we heard rumors last year Buffalo was interested but nothing came out of that. Don’t think it’d hurt to trade someone like Rosen to make a Hart-Levi tandem and focus on rounding out the skaters for 2025 to compete.

OTT would have far more interest in Konecny than frost
