Neither Montreal player listed is worth the Winnipeg players you want.

Dallas seem a little desperate for RHD. Mavrik Bourque for Barron is probably even, although I'm not sure if he's the best target for MTL.

Agreed they should be looking to pull off this type of move though.

Jets Decline
None of the listed MTL players is worth giving up any of the listed WPG players… hell, even combined together the 2 MTL players aren’t worth any one of the listed WPG players

Dvorsky is a no go for the blues. He's the best prospect they have. Dean is available in a trade I would think. No idea what his value is though

I think you’ve mistaken having lots of LEFT side defensive depth for having overall defensive depth. Our right side is far from set and here you’re trading Barron and Harris(yes he is left handed but has played well on his offside with Struble).

Ponomarev is loved by the coaching staff and by the front office... he isn't getting moved

Barron isn't smart or quick(mentally) enough to play for the Avs, its why they moved him. Someone will take him though

Think you may be overvaluing Lucius a bit. Sure he has tantalizing offensive upside but the kid can’t stay healthy.

Who would you trade in this case ? In 2 years time, you'll have Mailloux, Xhekaj, Reinbacher and Hutson that will most likely be in the nhl full time. Will there be any spot left for guys like Struble, Harris, Barron and Matheson.

I still see that when I watch the habs, prone to some mind boggling turnovers, although he's gotten better recently. I have to remind myself he just turned 22, he was only 20 when Colorado moved him.

That’s the thing, Mailloux and Reinbacher are the only right handed dmen you’ve listed and Harris is the only LHD I’d confidently play on the right side.
So at the end of the day that leaves Matheson, Guhle, Struble, Xhekaj, Hutson and Enstrom all battling for 3 positions in the next couple of years. It may hurt to trade any of those guys but you have to give to receive. I doubt the Ducks wanted to lose Drysdale.

You probably won’t be able to get either of those blues players for Harris or Barron
Well maybe Barron for Dean but that really depends on a lot of other factors

Yeah, you can forget Dvorsky. What you're offering isn't anywhere near his value anyway. Dean could conceivably be had, and the Blues might like Barron, but they presumably would have no interest in Harris.

What’s the thing with Barron. He is currently our third best D and is imo the second D I wouldn’t trade behing Hutson. There isn’t a lot of players in this list I would trade him for (Barlow, Lucius, Dvorsky and maybe Lambert)
