Only see the Hawks declining. Aren't interested in a 31 year-old third-liner who doesn't fit the Hawks timeline, and who has three years left on his deal. We not only have a team full of 3rd or 4th line forwards, we don't want anyone blocking the kids when they begin to graduate into the big league.

If we do take him off your hands, it'd cost a LOT more than a 4th round pick... More like a 2nd rounder, plus something, IMO. Even if we bought him out prior to next season, that buyout would stay on our books for four years by which time we may need the AVV).

I don't see the Sharks burning their last retention slot for a 3rd.

You are missing the part that the only asset the Hawks are interested in from TB is first round picks...

TB's first is not involved, no deal lol of course I joke.

Hawks would have no interest.

On another note, how does someone like Conner Sheary get an NTC included in his deal?

That's probably how they convinced him to take such a discount.

Honestly, though, I think CHI might consider that. He may have had a rough first half of the season, but he is a trusty veteran that takes up a little cap space. There are a lot of guys in CHI that I would be interested in seeing him play with. But yeah, clause, and it should technically cost more to move his contract. If TBL wants to spend as little as possible moving contracts, they'd be best served finding a playoff team that is looking for depth.
