I don't understand why Edmonton makes this trade.

Be honest me either just seeing a lot Kane trades on twitter so came on here to have some fun but curious as a leaf fan would you do this i actually thought leaf fans would be saying leafs wouldn’t do that lol

Oilers are not interested in doing a trade with the Leafs.

Oilers will trade with anyone or holland shouldn’t be running an nhl team if oilers wanted get rid of a player and every team offered a 7th and leafs offered a 5th you telling me he’s taking the 7th lol

I think a Kane trade is possible but this isn't it at all

Edmonton is giving up the best two players in the deal by far a n d they're retaining? Can't see this one happening, would have to be a one for one swap for a 3C or a top-4 RD in any Kane deal

This makes zero sense for the Oilers

I really wanted to sign Kane when he was a UFA. I would have given him 5 years x 5.5m. He got less money than that in Edmonton. I think he is a really good fit on a cup team. HUGE guy, physical, kind of a dickhead, can play. Really good power forward.

You added retention here, so this would be an easy yes for me. I would miss Robertson though, but I would easily make this deal.

I just really don't see the benefit for Edmonton outside of the cap savings and in this situation you retained, so it won't be much savings. I just don't see Kanes cap hit to be an issue.

Kane is the ultimate playoff warrior. Scores clutch goals, intimidates, protects, hits like a truck, fights (and wins).

Oil wouldn’t trade him for that pile of crap. Let alone retain and throw in Vinny Desharnais.
